Boys’ Life magazine: Kid tested, parent approved

boys-life-january-2015-coverLooks like kids aren’t the only ones who love Boys’ Life magazine.

For the third year in a row, the magazine that covers everything in a boy’s life has earned a coveted Parents’ Choice Approved Award. Parents’ Choice is the nation’s oldest nonprofit guide to quality children’s media and toys.

When a magazine gets the Parents’ Choice Approved Seal, it means the publication is a “wholesome product that helps children enjoy developing physical, emotional, social or academic skills.”

Here’s what Parents’ Choice says in its Boys’ Life writeup:

Let’s make this simple and straight-forward: If you are a Boy Scout, you should subscribe to Boys’ Life because it’s a longstanding part of the experience. If you’re curious about what Boy Scouts do, you should take a look.

How to subscribe

Are your Scouts getting the Parents’ Choice-approved Boys’ Life magazine in their mailboxes each month? If not, here’s what to do:

  • BSA Members: To subscribe to Boys’ Life at the member rate of $12 a year (that’s $1 an issue), check with your local Scout council service center.
  • Nonmembers: To get Boys’ Life at the $24 a year nonmember rate, click here.
