The best part of Scouting is the outings, and if you send us a video highlighting your favorite Scout campout, you’ll be entered to win both a GoPro Max and a Klymit Cross Canyon 4P Tent.
All you have to do is submit a video anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds long about a memorable experience you had at one of the BSA’s high-adventure bases, council-operated Scout camp or any Scout campout.
Your video should highlight the great outdoors all around you. It’d be great if you could film it in a spot with good lighting, but otherwise, just be creative and have fun with it!

How to enter the BSA High Adventure Gear Giveaway
Entering the giveaway is a four-step process.
- Record your video. The video does not have to be recorded during an actual Scout outing, but it could be! If should, however, definitely be recorded outdoors. In the video, you need to simply tell us about a memorable Scout campout (Where did you go? What did you do? What did you see? What did you learn?) while also giving us a good look at your current surroundings.
- Go here.
- Upload your video.
- You’re done!
The contest runs through Jan. 8, 2024. Entrants must be 13 years of age or older at the time of entering.
What is a GoPro Max?
The GoPro Max features three cameras in one.
You can shoot the now-famous GoPro spherical videos, or you can shoot immersive 360-degree panoramic footage. With its shotgun mic, you can also use the Max for 1080p vlogging.
The Max is waterproof to 16 feet and constructed to handle drops and falls.
What is a Klymit Cross Canyon 4P Tent?
The Klymit Cross Canyon four-person tent features a spacious, rectangular freestanding design that allows for multiple sleeping configurations.
Some tents say they can hold four people, but they don’t mention the fact that you have to pack yourself in like sardines. This three-season tent really can hold four people comfortably.
But I don’t know how to shoot good videos!
