Happy trails

Who: Alexander, Troop 111, Lansing, Michigan

What: Alexander and some helpers cleared and widened a 1,000-foot-long trail from 4 feet to 8 feet and rebuilt a pallet bridge at a nearby wildlife center. The project took 560 hours of planning and execution and more than $4,000 in donated supplies.

 

Insects, your rooms are ready

Who: Natalia, Troop 10, Madrid, Spain

What: Natalia and some helpers built and installed a beehive-shaped insect habitat in a local community garden. This project provides a space for beneficial insects, promotes biodiversity, and creates a more inviting and functional space in the garden.

 

Welcome, bienvenue, willkommen and more

Who: Pierce, Troop 615, Kirkland, Washington

What: Pierce and his team transformed a garden at a local cathedral to support an assistance program and soup kitchen for people new to the community. The project features a trellis, new planters, a commemorative plaque marking the program’s 50th anniversary and 12 engraved pavers that welcome visitors in 14 languages.

Who: Haley, Troop 2019, Fairport, New York

What: Haley and a few friends built several benches along a disc golf course in nearby Penfield, N.Y.

Yes! The Glen A. and Melinda W. Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award honors outstanding Eagle projects. An Eagle Scout, their parent or guardian, or any registered BSA volunteer (with the Eagle Scout’s permission) may submit the Eagle Scout service project for consideration.
