Troop 111 from Plum Boro, Pennsylvania, is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Mayor Harry Schlegel issued a proclamation and declared August 24 as “Boy Scout Troop 111 Day” in Plum Boro.
Since its founding in 1968, the troop, based at Holiday Park United Methodist Church and sponsored by the Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department, has had over 80 Eagle Scouts.

Cub Scouts bike to a milestone
Cub Scout Pack 125 in Wellington, Florida, recently completed a bike ride at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Florida, marking an exciting milestone.
The Arrow of Light Scouts impressively biked 10 miles, while the Webelos completed a 5-mile journey. The Bears and Wolves took on a three-mile loop, while the Lions and Tigers enjoyed a scenic stroll along the trail, embracing nature and camaraderie.

Scout honors grandmother with gifts to cancer patients
Eagle Scout candidate Andrew Quattrini organized the creation of 72 care kits for new chemotherapy patients at the Guthrie Cancer Center in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
The kits included items like blankets, earbuds and encouraging notes.
Andrew chose the project to honor his grandmother, a former oncology nurse at Guthrie. He collaborated with local schools, businesses and his parents to complete it.
