Attending a National Jamboree is a life-changing experience for anyone who can make it. That’s why Scouting America is launching a new initiative to help more Scouts get there.
The Platinum Package and Diamond Package programs offer two options for Scouting families to contribute to the 2026 National Jamboree Scholarship Fund.
Scouting America’s aim is to ensure that every eligible Scout who is interested in attending the Jamboree is able to do so, regardless of financial background, and these packages could go a long way to helping make that aim a reality.
Also making its return for the 2026 Jamboree is the Platinum Club, which collected donations at the 2023 Jamboree and will do so again at next summer’s event.
“The Jamboree can change lives,” says Scott Suchan, the volunteer Platinum Club chair. “I’ve seen the Jamboree impact the whole gamut of kids in Scouting. It has that long-term impact on people’s lives.”

What are the Platinum Package, Diamond Package and Platinum Club?
The Platinum Package is available for $250. It includes two pocket patches, a neckerchief, a black ball cap, a tumbler and a pin, all with Platinum Package Jamboree branding.

The Diamond Package is available for $525. It includes two Platinum Package Jamboree pocket patches, two Diamond Package Jamboree black ghosted pocket patches, a black Diamond Package Jamboree neckerchief, a black Diamond Jamboree ball cap with silver Mylar fretting on the brim, a Diamond premium tumbler, a Platinum and Diamond 2026 Jamboree pin, and two vouchers for ice cream bars served only at the Platinum Club tent at the 2026 National Jamboree.

The Platinum Club is an opportunity for Jamboree participants to help offset the cost for future Jamboree participants. Donations, which are made in person at the Platinum Club tent, are split 50-50 between refurbishing projects at the Summit Bechtel Reserve and the scholarship fund for the next Jamboree.
How can a participant apply for financial aid to attend the National Jamboree?
While Scouts are encouraged to fundraise as much as they reasonably can, some Scouts will need additional financial support to cover Jamboree costs.
Many local councils offer scholarship funds to Scouts who need them. Contact your local council to find out what they will offer for the 2026 National Jamboree.
National scholarships are available to Scouts BSA youth and participants in Venturing and Sea Scouting. Click here to learn more about applying for a national scholarship.
“We had a number of kids come to our booth at the last National Jamboree who said they wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for a scholarship,” Suchan says. “And they were the greatest kids in the world.
“That’s why we want to help more kids get there.”
