You don’t have to be in Colorado to be part of the National Order of the Arrow Conference

Good news! The 2024 National Order of the Arrow Conference is just weeks away, and the Scouting America community is ready. More than 6,000 people will be at the University of Colorado Boulder for the sold-out event.

Even more good news: It’s not too late for you to be a part of it.

For those unable to attend the conference in person, the event offers a NOAC remote delegate option, as it did at the last NOAC. For just $75 dollars, you can sign up to experience the conference from the comfort of your own home.

You don’t have to be a registered OA member to sign up as a NOAC remote delegate. That makes it the option perfect for Scouts interested in learning more about the OA and parents who want to keep up with their kids who are attending the conference in person.

New this year, remote delegates will take part in the National Order of the Arrow Conference through an immersive virtual reality platform, custom designed to give you the best possible conference experience, including visiting interactive booths, participating in the conference festival and playing the conference-wide game to meet other participants.

Also, for the first time, remote delegates will receive a specially curated box of memorabilia that’s only available to those who sign up for the remote program. The box will include local items from Boulder as well as a limited-edition remote delegate version of the NOAC event patch.

You must register as a NOAC remote delegate by July 12 to guarantee your box will arrive in time for NOAC.

Remote delegates will also have live and on-demand access to daily trainings, afternoon activities and all evening arena shows, making it the best way to participate in NOAC without leaving home.

Sign up today through the OA’s registration portal.

What is the National Order of the Arrow Conference?

NOAC is a gathering of Arrowmen from all over the country (and often, in fact, from all over the world) typically held every two or three years to celebrate their ties of brotherhood and to grow together as cheerful servants.

The event includes world-class training sessions conducted by trainers selected for their immense knowledge and expertise in their field. Trainers come from across the world to share their expertise so that Arrowmen may bring the information and new ideas back to their home lodge. Training session topics include leadership, event planning, crafts and ceremonies, and much more.

There’s also, of course, adventure. Activities range from climbing to boating to SCUBA diving. Arrowmen can also participate in OA ceremony evaluations to improve their performance and learn from the experts.

Build something from the ground up while learning more about AI and cyber security. There are also many opportunities to grow leadership skills in communication, goal setting and time management.

Each evening features a different show and special events.

The first NOAC was held in 1948 at Indiana University. It was at this event that news broke that the OA would be fully incorporated into the BSA. Previously, the OA had been called an experiment and, later, as one of several Scout programs.
