What is a National Jamboree?
Jamboree is a renowned celebration of outdoor adventure and friendship (Yes, you camp the whole time, alongside thousands of other Scouts!).
The National Jamboree only happens every few years and has a long history – since 1937, which means it’s no surprise to meet adult volunteers who have attended the event for decades. But the focus of Jamboree is unparalleled youth experiences and fun.
Since most Scouts only have one chance to attend the Jamboree a youth participants, we suggest seizing the opportunity when you have it.
The next National Jamboree runs July 22–31, 2026, at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. And updates about the plans for this epic event are rolling out. That’s why we’re going live to make sure you’re in the loop for every breaking detail.
Additionally, we’ll keep you updated with tips, like how to register and fundraise, to ensure the National Jamboree can be in your 2026 plans. If you want to go and you meet the attendee requirements, we’ll give you the tools to help get you there! Just stay tuned to Aaron on Scouting and our official social media.
So what’s the big news for the 2026 Jamboree?
Yeah, right! We’re saving that news for the show tomorrow.
Also, you’ll be able to share and embed the video announcement and Q&A after the show ends. This is a great way to drum up interest and get your unit planning for the 2026 National Jamboree.
Again, tune in at 2 p.m. Central wherever you regularly watch #TrekOnTuesday. If you haven’t tuned in before, you can watch on YouTube or Facebook.
