It’s National Forest Week! Tune into today’s #TrekOnTuesday to enter for a chance to win a free backpack!

The Polaris OGIO Explorer backpack

Not only is Polaris a leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles, they make some pretty good backpacks, too. You can win a free OGIO Explorer pack by simply sharing a comment during today’s #TrekOnTuesday Facebook Live event at 3 p.m. Central.

In 2014, Polaris and the BSA entered what has become a very productive partnership, providing top-of-the-line ATVs and safety equipment to high-adventure bases and select local camps.

Since then, thousands of Scouts have participated in the Polaris ATV safety program, taught by ASI (ATV Safety Institute) trained instructors, and learned about the Tread Lightly trail conservation movement.

In today’s show, our hosts will visit with the Wheels Director at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. The Wheels program at the Summit includes mountain biking, skateboarding, BMX and, of course, ATV riding.

We’ll also discuss the role Polaris, the Summit and all Scouts can play in recognizing National Forest Week.

How to ride ATVs at the Summit

The Polaris ATV Experience gives participants the chance to travel more than 60 miles on ATVs over a span of four days. The trails range from easy to intermediate, and the ride includes stops along the way for some STEM education and to observe some of the epic scenery available at the Summit.

ATV programs are also offered at authorized BSA properties.

How to win the backpack

The OGIO Explorer backpack is a good one.

Not only is it durable and comfortable, it’s got a spot for laptops and tablets and features a reactive suspension system designed to keep your electronic devices safe.

All you have to do to enter for a chance to win is comment during today’s show at 3 p.m. Central.

What is #TrekOnTuesday?

Think of it like a talk show that’s all about Scouting. In addition to virtual visits with Scouting volunteers and partners across the country, we discuss the latest news, trends and happenings in the world of the BSA.

We talk about gear, health and safety, the outdoors and also share inspiring Scouting stories from across the country.

You can watch the show on your favorite official BSA Facebook page (Scout Life, Scouting magazine, Cub Scouts and the official Boy Scouts of America page, for starters), or on YouTube.
