Master smartphone photography at the BSA’s Visual Storytelling Workshop

In your pocket or purse right now sits one of the most powerful storytelling tools around: your smartphone.

That tiny camera can capture a single-image Scouting experience you can share with thousands of people in an instant.

But how do you take great photos with your smartphone, and what are the best ways to socialize what you shoot so you can recruit more Scouts and Venturers and retain the ones you’ve got?

Find those answers and more at the BSA’s Visual Storytelling Workshop, held June 7 to 13, 2015, at the Philmont Training Center.

Anyone with an interest in photography and a passion for sharing the Scouting experience is invited — no photography expertise is necessary.

You’ll learn how to take better photos through interactive workshop sessions. You’ll take photo expeditions into the spectacular Philmont backcountry. You’ll meet (and photograph) the fascinating folks who work on Philmont’s staff.  And you’ll do it all with a world-class volunteer faculty that promises to make the sessions memorable and fun.

See some photos from past years’ workshops below. And when you’re ready to sign up, click here.
