When our gear guru Stephen Regenold (founder of thegearjunkie.com) selects items for Scouting magazine’s “Great Gear” column, he uses two important criteria when making his final selections: style and function. Buff headwear—featured in our May-June issue—meets both of these standards.
That’s why we decided to snag a handful of Buffs to give back to our readers: Enter our GOTCHA COVERED GIVEAWAY for a chance to win one of 10 Buffs. This contest will end in one week, on Monday, May 7.
Buffs come in hundreds of styles—whether it’s a technicolored pattern or a screen print of your favorite trail map. You can also choose the function of the headwear, too: UV protection, CoolMax fabric to keep you dry in the heat, warm “polar” Buffs that keep your neck warm in cold temperatures, and even a reflective Buff to help increase your visibility in the dark.
Plus, the tubular fabric is designed to wear in a multitude of forms, from simply wearing it to protect your neck to wearing the Buff as a skullcap, an armband, and more. We even produced a short video—starring our comedic photography director, John Fulton—to show you the different ways to wear a Buff. We had a blast producing this video with John, who just retired from the BSA after 14 years of service.
Don’t miss your chance to win a Buff headwear to take on your next Scouting adventure. It’s flexibility of function (and, of course, it’s style!) will keep you more comfortable in the outdoors.
Good luck!
