Authors of the Scout-inspired book, George Goodwin, Dragon Slayer: A Scouting Legend, offer start-to-finish tips on how to tackle the annual Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation student writing challenge.
The Gerald R. Ford Student Writing Challenge 2025 is open to U.S. students in 9th through 12th grades. The first-place essay will earn the writer $2,500.
