If the Stonehenge Council, Bermuda Triangle Council and Transylvania Council sound a little too spooky to be real, you’re right.
But the team at Boys’ Life decided the fictitious councils in “Monster Jamboree,” an entertainingly original piece of fiction published in the October 2014 issue, had names too fun to ignore.
So the imaginative Kevin Hurley, Eagle Scout and Boys Life‘s executive art director, created a patch for each fake council. They’re great.
My only complaint will likely be yours, too: We can’t buy these awesome patches to sew on patch blankets or put on our walls.
We can, however, see the designs here (scroll down to see ’em all).
That link is also where you can read the story by Brandon Mull, Eagle Scout and author of the New York Times bestselling Fablehaven fantasy series. (Or just pick up the Boy Scout edition of the October issue and flip to Page 54.)
It’s sure to get you in the mood for Halloween.
