I’m working on editing my father’s memoir and he briefly mentions his time as a Boy Scout here in Arizona in the mid 1940s to early 1950s. One of the mentions is about a scary tale he called “the Old Lady of the West” that was told on overnight camping trips.
I would like to learn more about the tale, or the tale itself.
Does this ring any bells with anyone, especially the old-timers?
      Thank you.
