We have a crew with on boy that has earned his Eagle. We are planning his Eagle Court of honor. The question is should/can he wear his Boy Scout Sash with his Venture Uniform.

    Chuck in Maryland.

As a point of reference, Bryan on Scouting did cover this before. And according to the head of the advancement team, “Merit badge sashes are worn only by Boy Scouts and Venturers who are earning Boy Scout advancement.”

Based on that wording, Venturers can wear their merit badge sash.

As to weather he should, that depends on how closely you read an imperative in “… sashes are worn …”. I would encourage it, but I don’t mind color clashes as much as others.

    Regardless, congratulations to your venturer!
