How to create eye-catching recruitment materials with customizable templates from the Brand Center

customizable templates

As you recruit new families to Scouting, the Brand Center is here to make your job easier than ever!

Volunteers now have access to a full library of customizable templates that make designing professional, on-brand materials quick and stress-free. Whether you need a flyer for an upcoming recruitment night, a poster to hang at your local elementary school or a social media frame to use on your troop’s Facebook, the Brand Center has your back.

How to access the new customizable templates

All the new templates are grouped in the “Logos / DIY Elements” section of the Brand Center. You can also browse the full collection in this lightbox. If you’re looking for something specific, try using the search bar with terms like “Scouts BSA editable flyer” or “Cub Scouts template.”

There are two types of templates to choose from:

  1. Editable in the Brand Center: These templates (with a .wdtx file extension) allow you to edit directly in your browser. Just double-click to open, click the pencil icon to start, and add text and photos in minutes.

Take a look at how easy this process is in the tutorial below.

  2. PNG image templates: Perfect for those who prefer more flexibility, these files can be imported into tools like Google Drawings or Adobe Illustrator for more advanced customization.

Why these templates could make all the difference for your unit

Having access to professional-quality, branded templates ensures your recruitment efforts are not only effective but also consistent with Scouting’s brand identity. This saves time, strengthens our message to youth and lets you focus on delivering the best program to your Scouts as possible.

For your recruitment materials, work smarter, not harder. In just a few steps, you can create polished assets that stand out and attract new members.
