Eagle Scout Natalie Restivo has been named a 2025 AES 500 Festival Princess, an honor that recognizes outstanding young women for their academic achievement, leadership and commitment to community service. Her journey from achieving Eagle Scout to becoming Festival Princess is a direct result of her dedication and leadership.
Restivo says she encourages young girls to pursue their goals in Scouting and in activities such as the AES 500 Festival Princess Program, which emphasizes academics and community service, to demonstrate how perseverance, service and friendship can lead to success.
“And so, although the worlds they seem very separate, they actually align very closely with the Scout Oath and Law,” Restivo said.

Scouts rally to restore WWI memorial damaged by storm
Troop 193 from Kettering, Ohio, is ramping up its semiannual effort to protect and preserve the historic Victory Oak Knoll World War I memorial and raising money for the restoration of an area that was damaged by a fallen tree limb during a windstorm.
For nearly 20 years, the Scouts have maintained the memorial site — home to 180 oak trees planted in 1921 to honor local fallen WWI troops — through seasonal cleanups and Eagle Scout projects.
“It’s a great civic and patriotic thing for the Scouts to pursue,” said assistant Scoutmaster Jim Cunningham. “And for us adults taking care of that, it’s something that we feel very fortunate to have the privilege of doing that, and it’s something that we look forward to continuing.”
The troop is also battling invasive honeysuckle, an effort supported by their GoFundMe campaign.
