Deadlines extended for Eagle Scouts to apply for these NESA scholarships

Earning the Eagle Scout Award can open the door to many career opportunities, and as Scouts study for those careers, the National Eagle Scout Association can help. Several scholarship opportunities are available to active NESA members (click here to learn how to join).

Last year, NESA awarded 53 scholarships to Eagle Scouts representing the BSA’s four regions.

The deadline for this year’s scholarships has been extended to Feb. 12 to allow the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts the opportunity to apply. Young women who have earned the Eagle Scout Award from Oct. 1, 2020, to Feb. 8, 2021, will be the inaugural group and have their Eagle Scout credentials dated Feb. 8, 2021.

These scholarships are available to Eagle Scouts attending four-year colleges, vocational trade schools and other programs. Some stipulations apply, such as maintaining a NESA membership and a high grade point average.

All applications must be completed and submitted by Feb. 12; scholarship winners will be announced June 11. Click here to find applications.
