Fly high with an Aerial Sports job at the 2017 National Jamboree

How about a jamboree job where people look up to you all day long?

That’s the promise of the Aerial Sports team at the 2017 National Jamboree, held July 19 to 28 at the stunning Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.

The perks of the job — like the chance to deliver life-changing experiences to young people — are sky-high. The job requirements are not.

In other words, you don’t have to be a Cirque du Soleil performer or that guy who tightrope-walked across the Grand Canyon to work in Aerial Sports.

You’ll get all the training you need to offer a safe and fun experience for Scouts and Venturers at some of the jamboree’s most popular venues: climbing, canopy tours, zip-lines and challenge courses.

While experience is helpful, it isn’t required. One day (eight hours) of online training is required before you arrive at SBR. Then you’ll complete three more days of onsite training after you arrive at the jamboree.

General requirements to work in Aerial Sports

  • You must be comfortable with heights.
  • You must weigh between 50 and 250 pounds.
  • You must be able to participate in an eight-hour online training (meaning you have access to an internet-connected computer, which I bet you do if you’re reading this). The training dates are (pick one): April 14, April 15, May 20, May 21, July 1, July 2, July 8 and July 9.
  • You must be able to participate in a three-day onsite training, which happens during staff training (after staff arrival but before participant arrival).
