There are countless reasons why Scouts love attending summer camp: meeting new friends, conquering challenges and earning merit badges, to name three.
But when Chief Seattle Council’s Camp Parsons polled its campers this summer, one Scout gave a gloriously perfect response when asked why he’s glad he went to camp.
“This Scout gave the most honest answer,” says Sean Mobley, a senior district executive in the council who sent me the tip.
The Scout wrote:
“I could feel the freedom in my soul. And there was food.”
Pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?
