Two TV-show casting opportunities for Scouters

Now’s your chance to be a television star!

Two casting opportunities call for outdoorsy individuals with leadership skills. Scouters, does that sound like you?

Although neither of these shows are sponsored or sanctioned by the Boy Scouts of America, they seem like a fit for our audience. You can apply to one (or both!) of these casting opportunities below for a chance to be an overnight celebrity.

Survivalists: Ready for the Ultimate Survival Experience?

Fox, Lionsgate and the executive producer of Wipeout and Fear Factor want you to go on the race of your lives. You — an experienced survivalist — and an inexperienced partner will be dropped into the wilderness, where you must survive for one month. Can your expert-level intelligence get you and a novice out of the stickiest of situations? Prove it, and you can win a huge cash prize!

All candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal U.S. residents age 18 or older with a compelling story of why you want to win and what trait you have that sets you apart from other candidates. Survival skills required.

To apply, send your name, age, phone number and a short paragraph detailing your survival credentials to kris@metalflowersmedia.com. Deadline is March 22. Read more here.

Expert Camp Chefs Apply Here

The casting agency FSA Entertainment seeks an expert camp chef — male or female. This person will serve as host to an outdoor cooking show on an unnamed major TV channel. The host will be responsible for doing actual cooking on a campfire. Location is to be determined.

If you’re age 18 or older with extensive camp cooking experience, email or call Gary Malyszek at garycastinggroup@yahoo.com or 917-553-4294. Deadline is March 31. Find more info here.

Good luck!
