Someone at NOAC 2015 will win the Flap Map, an entire wall of patches

Flap-Map-detailDave DuBois doesn’t reveal the grand prize right away.

When Arrowmen stop by the Flap Map at the National Order of the Arrow Conference, he asks them to donate a lodge flap. It’ll go on the giant wall of patches designed to showcase lodge flaps from all 50 states.

“Here’s a chance for your patch to be seen by 15,000 people,” he tells them. “That’s kind of a cool thing.”

It’s only then that he mentions the grand prize. Donate a patch, and you’ll get an entry into a drawing to win the entire wall of patches. Yes, every patch on display is going to one lucky Arrowman.

“Their heads turn around,” DuBois says. “Now you’ve got their attention.”

What about duplicates? If an Arrowman donates a patch that’s already on the wall, it goes into a box that corresponds to the lodge’s region. Those duplicate patches will be given away, too. Each of the boxes of extras will go to a winner from that region.

Here’s a higher-res version of the Flap Map.
