How to sign up for Northern Tier, Philmont, Sea Base and the Summit

As the weather starts to cool across the country, it’s definitely not too early to ask: Is it summer yet?

It’s in that spirit I present you with the latest signup details for the BSA’s four national high-adventure bases. If you’re looking to attend Northern Tier, Philmont, Sea Base or the Summit Bechtel Reserve in 2015 or 2016, I’ve got the details you need.

Get this info to your Scout leaders so they can make an informed plan — and to prevent disappointment if they procrastinate and find out their first choice won’t work.

Here we go:

2016: The 2016 Philmont trek lottery is open now! At 11:59 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Nov. 19, 2014, the door slams shut. So don’t delay in getting a crew together and securing a lottery entry. (Learn more about the lottery in my blog post.)
