Name That Council: June 26, 2009 solution

We hope you had
an easy time figuring out the location of the peaceful scene shown in Friday’s
challenge. After all, getting stressed would prevent you from enjoying the
idyllic panorama of the lighthouse and lake pictured in the patch.

Even if you
didn’t recognize the location, did you notice the state map in the center of
the patch? That’s the outline of Michigan. You still had to sort out the
council’s name, though. So follow the jump to learn the answer.

It’s the Lake
Huron Area Council
, located on the shores of the second-largest of
the Great Lakes. The council’s headquarters is in Auburn, Mich., about two
hours northwest of Detroit. A tip of our hat to Howard Barnes, a Cubmaster from Macedon, N.Y., for being the first to send us the correct answer.

back Thursday for the next Name That Council challenge.
