Yesterday, you heard Venturing President Jennifer Lowe’s thoughts about the Report to the Nation trip to our nation’s capital, and now it’s Solomon Goodwin’s turn to share his experiences.
Solomon sat down for an interview with The State newspaper, based in his hometown of Columbia, S.C.
He said his favorite part of the week in Washington, D.C., was touring the Pentagon. “I enjoyed that tour,” he told the newspaper, “and I am considering becoming an engineer in the Marine Corps after talking to the general.”
And what did he most want Washington lawmakers to know about Scouting?
“There are Scouts in every community in the country doing good deeds every day,” he said.
