If you're hoping to save some coin on the Boy Scouts of America Centennial Silver Dollar, your time is running out. Introductory pricing on the collectible ends at 5 p.m. (EDT) today.
After that, the price of the proof coin (pictured) will increase from $39.95 to $43.95, and the price of the uncirculated coin will go up from $33.95 to $35.95.
The latest sales figures released by the U.S. Mint show that 312,653 BSA coins were sold as of Sunday. That means just 11 percent of the 350,000 coins minted remain. It also tells us that more than 46,000 coins were sold in the past two weeks. If that rate of sales continues, the coins could be sold out by early May.
Coins ordered now will ship by June 17, according to the U.S. Mint's Web site.
