Stephen Bechtel Jr. gave the BSA $50 million to help build Scouting's fourth high-adventure base. So it should come as no surprise that Bechtel believes in the power of the BSA.
"I just felt this was something I could do to pay a little bit back to the Scouts for what I got from them," he told Forbes.com in a recent video interview.
Bechtel is one of eight billionaires who are also Eagle Scouts. Check out the full video below as Forbes takes you inside the fascinating life of this "Billionaire Boy Scout."

Just be careful of the trap of, “If you become an Eagle Scout, you’re more likely to end up as a billionaire, astronaut, President, etc.” Unfortunately, there are also Eagle Scouts in Federal prisons.
Dave = B-I-T-T-E-R
Dave that makes no sence. Here is how is works. Only about 4 out of 100 scouts become Eagle. Somewhere around 20% of boys are scouts. So you could say probably less than 1% of people are Eagle Scouts. But 8% of billionares were Eagles, only one president but that makes about 2 1/2 percent, and probably around 70% of astronauts. So if you are and Eagle you have a higher percent chance of accomplishing these great feats. I don’t have stats but I can assure you the there is a smaller percetage of Eagles in prison than in general public meaning you have better chance of not being in prison.
